We are so excited to welcome our newest Senior Living Concierge, Tracy Kuschnitzky! Tracy has a diverse clinical background and over ten years of experience in senior care! Read more about Tracy below!
What’s your previous work experience?
My background is in speech-language pathology with a master’s degree in healthcare administration. My most recent experience has been ten years serving seniors in the home health setting. I’ve also worked in acute care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing settings. I bring with me knowledge of the complexities and challenges of the healthcare system and a full understanding of the frustration that seniors and their families experience as they move through the continuum of care.
Where did you grow up? How did you end up where you are?
I’m from Ohio and a Kent State University graduate times two. I made my way to Sarasota after I decided I was done with winter weather! I am so happy to have found such a beautiful community where I have been able to nurture my passion for caring for seniors and advance my education and career to have a wider reach.
What do you do for fun?
Until recently, you would have found me at any number of venues supporting my children in their circus arts performances. I also have two wonderful stepchildren who introduced me to the world of soccer. Talk about fun times! Now that they are all in their college years and beyond, I am happiest grabbing any moments with them that I can! I do love walking and biking Legacy Trail with my husband, caring for our two Shiba Inu, and doing any activity with our big, blended family.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about sharing my experience and knowledge with seniors and their families. Navigating our healthcare system can be quite difficult. I am an educator by nature, and the home health setting has allowed me to provide relevant information and education in a smaller, more individual setting. I look forward to expanding that impact into the wider community.
Any weird personality traits/ quirks?
I don’t fill up at a gas station until I almost run out of gas, every time!
What’s your WHY? Why Sunways? Why Senior Care?
My WHY grew over the years working with seniors. Most of my clinical appointments revealed an overall need for assisting with community resources and decision-making in planning for the future. When I met Elli and Mark and learned about the mission, vision, and values of Sunways, everything fell into place for moving into this position.
WE ARE OVER THE MOON (yes, we are screaming) to have connected with Tracy and are honored to have her join our team! Welcome Tracy!
