Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that inhibits a person’s movement control. Parkinson’s disease is both physically and mentally exhausting, and at times overwhelming for the families it impacts.
Here on the Suncoast, we are lucky to have many resources for Parkinson’s disease like the Parkinson Place Center for All Movement Disorders which is celebrating its 10th Anniversary. For the past ten years, the Parkinson Place Center has strived to meet its mission to meet the physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of those living with movement disorders through education, empowerment, support, and community resources.
